Block Eight is a quilt block featuring half square triangles and the first four patch in the series. This block focuses on accurate trimming, reducing bulk by pressing seams open, and sewing with intention as part of a block of the month quilt.
I’m Melissa Gordon, the maker and teacher behind SewSuited. With a background in fashion, costume design, and nursing education, I’ve taught sewing to refugee mothers in Clarkston, led outreach projects in Sierra Leone, and even created garments for movies and television.
