After completing my quilted panels, I finally reached one of my favorite parts — turning all those colorful quilted pieces into something wearable. I used the Grainline Studio Tamarack Jacket pattern as my base and made a few adjustments to better fit my style and shape.

With a background in fashion, costume design, and nursing education, I’ve taught sewing to refugee mothers in Clarkston, led outreach projects in Sierra Leone, and even created garments for movies and television.
